About Brevak Racing...
Bob & Shelly Brevak are the proud owners of the #31 Dodge in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
It was in 1972 that this duo chose to make their way into racing on a professional level and they have never looked back since. Competing on numerous levels from USAC to ARCA, to the Busch Series, the Winston Cup Series and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, the Brevak have been solid competitors in every level of racing and the Brevaks would like to get back to that form here in 2008.
In 1989 Bob Brevak claimed runner-up honors in the points championship in the ARCA division only to come back in 1990 to stand at the top of the ladder and claim championship honors. The Brevaks finished in the top-ten in points in all, but one of their ARCA seasons between 1982-1993.
It was in 1994 that the Brevaks attempted the 1st Annual Brickyard 400, missing the field by merely a blink of an eye. In 1995 the Brevaks chose to make the switch from ARCA to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Bob piloted his own Fords compiling numerous top-ten finishes until he and Shelly chose to give a new youngster a try in their #31. It was in 1997 that Tony Roper took over for Brevak Racing, qualifying 3rd, and also posting numerous top-ten finishes.
In 1999 fellow Wisconsin driver Kevin Cywinski piloted the #31 to 11 top-fifteen finishes, 7 top-ten runs, 2 top-five finishes including a career best 4th (Martinsville) and 3rd (Bristol).
Scott Riggs (Sprint Cup veteran) closed out the 2000 season with Brevak Racing at California bringing home a solid 16th place run. The Brevaks also finished 10th at Portland in 2000.
